Ease of Use:
Pros:Easy (sometimes) tri-fold, cheap, peek a boo window, lightweight.
Cons:Does not maneuver well, horrible steering, a lot of jerking back and forth.
The Bottom Line: I recommend that the Combi Cosmo DX is not worth the money. Invest in the Uppababy G-Lite, Inglesina, or MacLaren. Way too many cons.
I wanted a compact stroller and unfortunately did not do enough research. I ended up purchasing the Combi Cosmo DX. I regret my purchase completely and am now warning other parents to steer clear of the Combi Cosmo DX. Let me start and end with the cons. Horrible, horrible steering. There is a lot of pushing and pulling of the stroller to try and align the wheels just right so I can actually get somewhere! This ends up jerking my little boy forward and backward. Seat and seat back are extremely narrow (but it is an umbrella stroller). Kicking of the bar between the back wheels happen all the time. This also startles my little boy. The locking mechanism is so difficult to engage that I actually have to get down on my hands and knees. If both ends of the lock do not perfectly align with the tiny spaces/grooves of the wheel then you end up having a crooked lock and that is when you have to get down on your hands and knees, disengage and engage the lock once again. I'm only 5'3" and if I wear heels, I have to slouch down to the handlebars. Impossible to store anything but a small handbag in the basket and it is hard to access even if the seat is in the upright position. If you put anything heavy in the basket, the basket material will scrape against the back wheels. When folding, the back wheels have to be in line with the front wheels. Combi put the only one cupholder next to the child's seat. Not making a fuss about that since a lot of umbrella strollers don't even have cupholders. I end up putting my drink in the little pouch behind the canopy. The bar across the front of the seat is completely distorted. It is made more of soft material that is easy to bend. My son will play with the bar using his feet so now the bar has lost its shape. I feel like it is in the way so I sometimes just remove it. Of course, the canopy does nothing since it is an umbrella stroller. Hope this helps. Looking into purchasing the Zooper Bolero 2008.
