With my first child, I bought a big reclining stroller, mid-range, good brand. It was great for my sleeping baby but by the second year or so, it didn't steer well. The heavier she got, the harder is was to steer. It was heavy to fold and lift. The fabric on the seat pilled and looked horrible. Travel with it? No way. My friends all suggested an umbrella stroller. Great, but I wore out two before we were done and they had no basket and the fabric didn't take the wear.
The Combi Savvy is my dream stroller. It is worth the price. At only 7.7 pounds it folds quickly and easily. It has a convenient strap that allows me to carry it on my back when necessary or when I want to give my toddler the chance to hold my hand and walk along. It is the perfect shopping stroller, fits easily through aisles and racks, steers beautifully, (even one handed when needed). The wheels don't drag on carpet or jam. It is compact enough to go down an airplane aisle and store in the overhead compartment. The backpack strap also helps when you are trying to carry your bulky carseat along in a busy airport. It pops open easily and locks securely back in place for storage. I can store it under the table or against the wall next to me instead of leaving it in the lobby where it could disappear. A convenient front bar detaches when your toddler is ready to get up and down on his own, so you no longer have to lift him into the stroller. The three point harness is very sturdy and the lock is difficult for toddler's to undo and slip out of. The mesh bag is removed easily and holds enough for my needs, a small diaper bag, a few toys and a bottle.
This stroller cleans easily with no pilling or loss of comfort. I have washed it several times and it looks terrific. It hangs dry quickly and all the pieces snap back in place securely.
The drawbacks. This is not the stroller for the power shopper who likes to load down the stroller with her treasures. However, it is easy to maneuver with your hands full. The only cons are that you have to set the brakes on all the wheels and you must empty the basket before folding it into it's super compact position.
