My husband and I had to make a very quick trip to DC this past January. We had some business to attend to and wanted a decent, secure, room at an affordable price. This location offered what we needed. The beds were comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. In fact, we were so pleased that we are considering going back for a short vacation next month and will probably stay here.
The AAA price for two people is $89.00 plus tax. (The AAA price at the Comfort Inn on NY Ave. was $159.00!) Parking is an additional $27.00 per night. For DC this is nearly unheard of! It seemed a little too good to be true. I expected the motel to seem to be in a bad area but was pleasantly surprised to feel pretty secure.
It's at the corner of 13th and M in downtown. We found it to be relatively convenient to what we needed to do.
Parking was a little tricky. We circled the block a few times before figuring out where to pull in. A larger sign and a bigger parking area would have helped. There was adequate lighting which made me feel better.
The one difficulty with staying here is the parking. It is all offsite. When you unload, you'll need to be sure to get everything you need out of the car. When you hand over the keys you probably won't be seeing it again until you leave. Be sure to allow least 45 minutes for the valet to get your car when you do need it.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. They do not have a concierge but the staff was very helpful with our questions.

My husband was happy with the continental breakfast. This was your pretty standard cereals, bagels, toast and juice. Everything was fresh and the breakfast area was clean and tidy.
Checkout was simple. The staff was multi-lingual, helpful and efficient.
Plus, this hotel participates the Choice Privileges Reward Program for frequent guests. You earn points for each stay based on the amount you spend. Quality, friendliness, comfort and value. That's a combination that hard to be in DC or anywhere else!
