| debclark's Full Review: Comfortaire Cerenity Mattress |
Love this mattress! My husband and I were shopping for a new mattress when I stumbled across these air mattresses. Since our old, spring mattress had developed a dip and become uncomfortable in a short time (probably due at least in part to the fact that my husband is the size of a linebacker and so is hard on furniture) we decided to look into air mattresses. We went to check out the mattresses at a Select Comfort store, figured out what features we wanted, and then bought from Comfortaire, which is considerably cheaper than Select Comfort (but much harder to find in a showroom). We chose the Cerenity because we had had bad past experiences with pillowtops (they tend to get less comfortable as they are smashed down), and because when we tested out some mattresses, we found that thick pillowtops didn't allow us to feel much benefit from the air chamber. The Cerenity does not have a thick pillowtop, so that was our choice. We have never regretted it. We've had the bed for about six months now, and it's very comfortable for both me (120 pounds) and my husband (250 pounds). An added benefit is that the separate air chambers mean I no longer feel like I'm being thrown in the air when my husband tosses and turns. In fact, I can hardly feel the mattress move when my big guy bounces around. We bought the less expensive pump, which is noisy, but who cares? We don't use it that much. We love this bed.
