We bought the Comfortaire Cerenity Mattress from Elixa.com. Their website recommends this mattress with the optional 1.5" visco foam for most people. We got the California King.
The mattress was shipped within 10 days, and Elixa gave us a very competitive price. I like the fact that they recommended this bed as being the most comfortable, based on their personal testing and experience, rather than trying to sell something based on price alone.
The mattress arrived in two large boxes, and assembly went just fine except that I put too much pressure on the mattress cover when I was zipping it up ( a guy thing), and I ripped the bottom of the cover a bit. I contacted Comfortaire and Debbie in customer service was very responsive and quickly shipped me another mattress cover, with a return shipping label for the existing cover. It is clear to me that Comfortaire stands behind their product.
We were able to find a California King frame and box spring online at Sears...total delivery cost was only $300.
My wife and I have found the bed to be very comfortable. Our old bed was a 12 year old queen size Sterns and Foster. With our new bed, we no longer wake up with sore hips and shoulders, and we toss and turn much less. As a result, we are sleeping very well.
The inflation unit works quickly and quietly, and the dual remote controls are handy.
A traditional Cal King would not go up our stairway. This is another advantage of the air bed.
We did not shop competitive air beds, but I am confident the value and quality lies with Comfortaire. I am a critical and cautious consumer, and I give this bed two thumbs up!
