This magazine was once the staple of computer users and IT managers everywhere; no longer is this the case - as the size of the magazine continued to plummet, so has the readership.
Personally, I have never liked this magazine - there is hardly anything of any solid worth to it. Lightly sprinkled amid the mountains of ads, there are some product reviews and a couple of columns, but for the most there is nothing but ads. Consider this the Spiegel catalog of computers.
Several years ago, when computing was at its hay day and seemingly everyone had a different computer system to sell - long before the Microsoft/Intel hegemony - this magazine weighed in at over five hundred pages. Over the years pages must have found better homes, for the current issue has around three hundred. Also, the size of the pages has shrank from a very large profile to regular 8 1/2" by 11" sized pages.
