Pros: snap beads
Cons: poor twists, created tangles
The Bottom Line: if you are looking for a product that is going to create nice twists, this may possibly be it but don't count on it.

| jenfavre's Full Review: Conair Cbd10ncs Quick Braid Hair Braider |
i purchased this conair quick braid on a whim because i needed something extra to get free shipping at amazon. i would have been better off paying for the shipping!
the way it works is, you thread 2 strands of hair into the hair locks and then push the button one direction to twist these two strands independently of each other. then once your strands are twisted, you push the button the other direction and the prongs rotate to twist the two strands together.
this isn't exactly what i'd call a "braid" but more just a regular twist. i've styled my hair this way by hand and admittedly it does take less time with the conair quick braid. however, the twists came out all bunched together and the ends of my hair were very tangled when i released them from the hair locks. i can achieve much more stylish results doing this by hand. my hair is very thick, but even the thinnest of strands didn't create the look i wanted. perhaps someone with a thinner head of hear could achieve a more pleasant look using this product.
the one good thing is the snap beads. i've never seen beads like this. they snap into place and they look nice. the beads alone aren't worth the price of the braider, but if i have to find a silver lining to this product they would be it.
