I bought these as replacements for the cruddy bridgestone re-92's on my 2004 impreza rs. The reviews for snow grip and all around driveability caught my eye since i live in upstate NY so I decided to try them. After 4 months with them I'm not at all disappointed. They do slip in snow when pushed, but you have to be driving kinda hard to make that happen. On my all-wheel drive subaru I can punch it on a changing green light and jet straight ahead on snow covered blizzardy roads without a care... leaving obnoxious pickup truck drivers in the dust, which I must say is rather fun. :-) Could'nt do that on the oem bridgestones which were a mess on even a dusting of snow. Also turning on snow covered roads is good, probabally better than most tires, but you still need to use caution of course.
Very comfortable on dry pavement / long trips. Feels a little rubbery with fast cornering but its not a concern for me as i dont corner at 30 mph very often if at all. The typical idiot rice-rocket kiddie, however, will be disappointed.
General tire had them for $129. I got them from tirerack for $78/usd and had my subaru dealer install them.
