Pros: Tastes good
Cons: Can't be found in grocery store unless it's a holiday.
The best sweet I can think of is cookies. They are so easy to pack and carry with you. You wouldn't want to try to put a piece of cake in your pocket or purse would you? I know I wouldn't. I can't imagine how hard it would be to clean this mess out of your pockets or purse, even if you put it into a plastic bag because these can open or not seal well. Plus you would have nothing but smashed cake and frosting. If the cookies get smashed you can pour the crumbs into your mouth, with cake you either have to use a spoon or your fingers or just dump it into the trash.
One of the cookies that I love to keep around the house is the Cookies, Danish Butter, 12 oz Tin. The cookies aren't always easy to find. Usually I find them around holidays such as Christmas and at some office supply stores. Wonder why our office didn't order them for us?
The cookies come in a blue tin that you can actually open and close to keep the cookies fresh. Each little stack of cookies comes in a fluted cup. Some of the cookies have sugar sprinkled on top, come are pink, some are plain. You get a host of choices but my favorite is the one that has the hole in the middle. I have to clue as to why, I just like it.
A serving size is four cookies with a calorie count of 170 and the fat gram count is 8 grams. This is on the high side if you are on a fat restricted diet. You want to leave room for real food and keep yourself full. You can plan the Cookies, Danish Butter, 12 oz Tin into your diet so that you don't go over your fat grams and your calories for the day.
The cookies are so nice looking that you can put them out on a place for guests when they come to visit or just serve right from the tin. There is nothing ugly about the blue tin so you can us that to serve out of and that way your friends or family know that they could have as many cookies as they want,
The Cookies, Danish Butter, 12 oz Tin does have a nice buttery flavor and they are crisp but not hard. They go well with a nice ice cold glass of milk or a good cup of coffee. The cookies are easily packed for lunches or you can take the whole tin with you on a trip because they to re-seal and you don't have to worry about them being all over the car just because you want a little bite of something.
The next time you go shopping look for the Cookies, Danish Butter, 12 oz Tin, If you can't find them there don't wait for the holidays, go to an office supply store because they usually have them in stock. I know that sounds strange to purchase your cookies at an office supply, but I will and it doesn't bother me a bit.
