This might seem to some to be a trivial item to write an exhaustive review about, but having used the Mag+ for about 3 weeks now - it is da bomb!
I am an ardent Cooks Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen fan, so ordered the Unicorn Magnum Plus after Chris Kimball did a piece on it in "Equipment Corner" - I've seen him use nothing else since.
Now I'm not getting all religious on you, but as far as getting those corns to produce the nectar that is ground black pepper there was definitely an epiphany when I started to twist.
The facts:
1. It produces one heck of a lot of pepper very quickly
2. You fill it through a sliding hole on the side of the mill
3. Because of 2 above, the grind selector on the bottom of the unit does not get interfered with whenever a refill is required (as on most top-fill mills)
4. Looks cool!
I advise getting the salt mill from the same company
