Pros: sun, uva, uvb, bug protection, fun bottle, waterproof, aloe vera, not greasy or thick
Cons: could be a bigger bottle, but other than that, nothing.
The Bottom Line: Simplest solution to two outdoor problems! Apply it well before you go out and watch the bugs and rays harass other people - not you and your kids.

The Deal
You want to be out in the sun enjoying a family picnic, you want to be out in the sun enjoying a nice, long walk in nature, or you want to be out in the sun catching some rays on the beach, but there are always harmful and annoying bugs around. Your kids can't stand the bugs, and you don't want them to get bit.
Not only are the bugs annoying you and you know sunburn would be really annoying, but It's annoying to have to put on bug spray and suntan lotion at the same, and what if they are not compatible?
Coppertone offers an easy solution: insect repellent (for gnats, ticks, mosquitos, deer flies, black flies, stable flies, fleas, and chiggers) and sun screen (waterproof, paba free, spf 30) all in one. It's like regular sunscreen lotion. It's not too greasy, not too thick or uncomfortable to apply, and the scent is that of normal, unscented lotion. As a bonus, the price is really good for the amount and quality of what you get.
The only bottle I've seen/purchased contains 4 FL OZ. It seems a little smaller than most bottles of sunscreen but maybe I was just get bigger bottles with less product... in any case, the bottle is bright and it's design is pointed towards kids with neon and bright colors and a cartoon kid. The lotion isn't as geared towards kids as other ones - no watermelon scent or disappearing colors, but the effects are great.
Apply the lotion before you go to a state park or before go out and have that family reunion barbecue in the back yard. I even apply it on myself if I'm going out where there are lots of bugs, even when I'm just on the beach and don't want those flies (the ones that come to nibble on human snacks) buzzing around me. The sun protection is great (I burn easily), stays on after your in the water (don't rub it off with a towel when you get out though!), and I get to be bug free while other people swat away. So kill two birds with one stone and rid your family of bug bites, future complications or disease caused by them, and sunburn and its after effects.
