I received this product as a sample when ordered a bicycle jersey from a website. I was quite surprised at the results as I was expecting this sunblock to be the same as all the others that claim to be waterproof and sweatproof. Boy, was I wrong! And I am glad that I was because I have been looking for a product like this, one that actually works, for a long time.
IT WORKS!
~ Ultra Sweatproof
~ Waterproof
~ No Slip Grip
~ Ultra Dry Formula
Upon first use of my Coppertone Sport Ultra Sweatproof Lotion, I slathered this stuff on my face and arms to prevent a major farmers’ tan. You see, I cycle on the weekends and always come away with a very bad sunburn in this Florida sunshine we have here. Between having to wear a bike jersey, a helmet and a pair of gloves…I usually have lines everywhere. And I really hate that. I do not use regular sunblock because I always end up sweating it off, or get it running into my eyes. Ouch!
So I applied this stuff to my exposed skin and went out for a four-hour ride. Can you imagine my surprise when I didn’t have to towel the sweat or the lotion out of my eyes! Even more surprising was the fact that I had no farmers’ tan upon returning home. YEAH! I have finally found my perfect sunblock. I was really excited! I immediately headed to Target to buy myself a full-sized bottle of this stuff. Well, after taking a shower that is! I ended up buying two bottles of this stuff because it was on sale. I bought two bottles of the 8 oz. SPF 30 lotion for $7.99 each. Good deal!
Coppertone Sport Ultra Sweatproof Lotion has also proven itself in the water. I couldn’t believe it could work so well both in and out of the water, so I had to test it out for myself. So I spent about an hour swimming in the ocean on the New Jersey shore during my vacation last week. I was again surprised to find no crispy skin upon emerging from the ocean and walking along the boardwalk for about two hours. No sunburn! Just a slight tinge of color and that is it! Which was just fine with me.
Coppertone Lotion
Sniff! Hmm…
The Coppertone sunblock also smells good. I love that beach smell that some sunblocks have and actually sift through the bottles in the store until I find one with that same smell. This is exactly what this Coppertone Sport sunblock smells like. Another plus in my book! I helps me to dream about being on the beach relaxing when I am actually pedaling away for hours on my bike.
I had no problem with this lotion clumping, it was nice and smooth going onto my skin. It also dried quickly enough so that I could put my shirt back on after applying if I am headed to the beach. This is good because I always like to do a strip down at the beach and pretend that I am sexy or something! LoL…I’m just kidding. I was also not left with that greasy feeling that you get with some other lotions. The bottle states “the ultra dry formula doesn’t leave a greasy which could adversely affect your grip.” Another plus! I hate it when my shirt sticks to my body because it clings to the lotion. I do not have overly sensitive skin so could not attest to this lotion not bothering other skin types. But I didn’t have a problem at all.
This product is available in SPF’s of 15, 30, and 45. My actual tube was SPF 30 and it provides me with enough protection against the hot Florida sun (and NJ sun). The bottle does recommend that you reapply after excessive sweating or swimming, but I never reapplied and felt well protected. These three SPF’s are all you really need to protect yourself, and in my opinion, there is one for everyone.
Directions…taken from bottle
“Apply liberally to all exposed areas prior to sun exposure and reapply after prolonged swimming, excessive perspiration, vigorous activity or toweling.”
