Pros: Great price for a 17" LCD, excellent image quality.
Cons: Hard to find.
The Bottom Line: A great screen to be recommended to all. Suits gamers just fine due to its fast 20-25 ms response time.

| deaks2's Full Review: Cornea CT 1700 17 inch LCD Monitor |
I was looking for a 17" LCD to replace my Samsung 19" CRT because I am moving to France for 7 months and I did not want to lug my bulky CRT with me to Europe.
I purchased a white CT1700 with D-Sub (VGA) input and integrated speakers (which I do not use because I have a great set of Altec Lansings)and have not had any regrets.
No dead pixels, and this LCD looks great, with a very bright display and excellent aesthetics. The lack of 1280*960 support is a bummer, but it would appear that no 17" LCD panel on the market supports that unofficial resolution, so for games that do not support 1280*1024 (this panels native rez) I use 1152*864.
Running at non-native resolutions is not recommended, but this panel does a good job of scaling the image. 20-25 ms refresh rate (Cornea's www-site and PDF whitepapers disagree on this number) allows for no blurring even when watching DVD's or fast action games. Games such as GTA Vice City and BF 1942 run great and do not cause the monitor to ghost.
A great buy which I heartily recommend.
