| androoos's Full Review: Corporate City Corp Messenger Messenger Bag by O'G... |
I actually received this bag as a gift from Nissan Motor Co. for test-driving a 2002 Sentra SE-R Spec V. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed with its style. My bag is yellow and black. It's loud without being obnoxious. I think yellow and black are coming back into style and I've seen a lot of bags and jackets that would match the trend.
As for the bag's functions:
Large, comfortable shoulder strap that is easily adjustable and strong.
Three major compartments for storage:
One large middle zippered pocket with dividers
One rear pocket with a simple snap closure, no zipper
One front zippered pocket (guarded by flap)
The dividers in the main pocket seem to get in the way when I am dropping books into the compartment. They get caught on the lower edge of the book, so putting things in this compartment usually takes two hands.
The flap is just a flap, with two large snap buckles which can be slightly adjusted for fit.
There is a "padded" cell phone pocket on one side of the bag. This was a good idea, although it wasn't exectuted well. The pocket is small and its a tight fit getting my cell phone in there. It also sticks out the top of the pocket, which makes me feel less secure about leaving it there. I wish they had put a velcro-ed flap over it just because. Anyway, its a minor detail.
There are five total pen pockets and two other pockets that look like they might fit a PDA, but I haven't tested that yet. I'm an engineering student, so I have to carry a calculator with me at all times. These PDA pockets could be deeper to better accept my calculator, but it's not really a big problem. I won't be needed the calculator much longer.
The material that makes up the bag seems strong and durable. The bottom of the bag is made from a heavy denier black canvas-type material. Very resistant to tears and fringing. The rest of the bag is made from heavy ripstop nylon. It will be difficult to get a large tear in this bag. You'd have to try to do it.
This has become my daily backpack/briefcase. Its perfect for me and my needs, and it was free! Gotta love it.
