I bought my "weekend" bed for my granddaughter used from a friend. It was two years old and still in great shape. I only paid $20 bucks for it but I would now gladly pay more. It is so very easy to put together and take apart. Only takes a screwdriver. It has eight screws, two in each leg. It takes less than 5 mins to assemble. I can take it apart after she goes home and store in a closet. The mattress is the same mattress out of her crib so I didn't have to buy all new sheets and blankets. It is really nice to be able to have the extra room to move around again when the bed is put away. Not like a crib when you have to leave it up all the time. This is a wonder in-between bed for the toddler to big for the crib, but not yet big enough for a twin bed. It is very close to the floor so if they fall out of bed, injury would be non-existant or very minimal. The frame is metal and we have had a few head bumps and crying, but you would also get that in a wooden bed.
