Our son is very tall for his age. At 2 years old, he is 3'5". The whole car issue is a nightmare for us.
The seat is nice but our model was raised a bit. Therefore our son could kick the back of our seats. It also came with a 5 point harness which doesn't jive with the market they are selling to.
None the less, this was an easy seat to install. The directions are pretty clear. Our son was comfortable for the most part. It has pull out cup holders, a soft headrest and arm covers. The straps are very thick and do not twist easily. My only complaint was that they were extremely difficult to thread through as we started to use the slacking mechanism.
We had the car seat four months when we were rear ended at a decent speed. It held him in the seat and he suffered no injuries what so ever. We looked it over as we threw it out. No noticible damage.
