Pros: 5pt. harness to 65 lbs, head wings, separate crotch buckles
Cons: straps get twisted, arm rests are not movable
The Bottom Line: this seat is comfy and fairly easy for the child to use themselves. The 5pt harness to 65 lbs was our biggest selling point! I recommend it.

| msuriano's Full Review: Cosco Juvenile Apex 65 Booster Car Seat - 22531 |
I bought this seat for my daughter and at age 4 she easily buckles herself in and out, which is a dream with that 3rd row seat. So, naturally when my son was too big for his toddler seat I bought another Apex seat. My son is huskier than my daughter and his fine motor skills are not as tuned as my daughters'. He gets frustrated when his buckles get twisted and he has a hard time with the crotch buckle. The strap goes over the upper thigh and down into the crotch area which usually pinches his inner thigh. It is nice though that each strap clicks by itself; both thigh straps do not have to fit together before being inserted in the buckle. For him to do his own buckles easily the straps have to be fairly lose. One thing I would love to change is having the arm rests be movable. My kids sometimes get their coats and pants stuck on them while squeezing into the 3rd row. Other than this my kids love their seats and sleep comfortable in them too. And I love the fact that they are protected in that 5pt harness for a bit longer than normal.
