When it came time to buy a high chair for child #1, we didn't have a lot of money, so we needed something pretty inexpensive, even though we thought we might have to replace it later. I've been pleasantly surprised - it has held up for almost 4 years now!
The good:
~Lightweight, but it's not just a piece of junk, it's sturdy. It also folds easily and can be carried easily.
~Great size - I've seen some of the really fancy high chairs and they look monstrously huge! They would take up way too much room in our house.
~Cleans easily - The "line" of this chair is simple, so there aren't a lot of odd angles or crevices that require digging in to clean. Everything wipes right down with a damp cloth, or if the tray is *really* messy, you can just pop it into the tub.
The bad:
~ The vinyl on the seat split after about two years. I simply patched ours with strong tape. You might want to help avoid this problem by adding a chair pad, although that would need to be washed occasionally.
~Sometimes the tray locks are a little temperamental and don't want to engage in the holes properly. There have been several times when I didn't get one side locked in properly, and when my child leaned to the side, whoosh! up flew the tray. Neither of the children got hurt, but if food was on the tray, it made a mess.
All in all, this has been one of our better investments. We used it for about 3 years with child #1, about a year so far with child #2, and barring any unforeseen events, should be able to continue using it for the next year or two that she will be still be needing it. I do recommend this product - I see no need to pay buckets of money when a less expensive version will serve just as well.
