Plastic Man has the ability to change his shape and form to whatever his imagination can muster. So it's not surprising to see a HeroClix figure that showcases this ability. However, this isn't a normal game piece that is found in any of the DC HeroClix: Cosmic Justice booster packs. This is one piece that you have to earn.

Limited Edition Plastic Man is a great novelty piece. I love the look of him disguised as a mailbox even if his costume is still prevalent. This explains why he has Stealth for the first two clicks on his Speed dial. The remaining four clicks are dedicated to Plasticity with a boost of 10-movment on his third click. But I can't believe how much this drops all the down to 4 on his last click. The man becomes a slug.

His Attack dial is pretty decent with a starting point of +10 attack value. It drops by 1 for every click before ending with +5. But he does gain Incapacitate for the last two clicks. I just don't know if he has enough attacking power in order to make it work for him.

Toughness occupies the first three clicks in his Defense slot with a starting value of 16-defense. But once the ability is gone, he is vulnerable to any attack and will probably fold due to a low defensive value of 12.

Shape Change makes perfect sense for Plastic Man as this ability starts off the Damage dial for two clicks. It gives him a chance to avoid any damage if he rolls the dice successfully. However his base-1 damage is pitiful, as he won't be doing much damage to anyone. But his fortune changes on the third and fourth clicks as he switches to Perplex and base-2 damage. All of a sudden this guy has the potential to become a monster in battle, if used correctly. After that it's back to base-1 and nothing else to help him out.

I'm actually surprised that he only has a target range of four squares. I guess this acceptable considering he isn't shooting anyone with blasters; instead he is stretching out towards his targets and the limitation makes sense. His Justice League team ability grants him free movement in battle without taking up one of your allotted action moves for each turn.

Limited Edition Plastic Man isn't going to win you battles. It would be surprising if he actually even manages to survive in the end. That doesn't mean he's useless, though. This figure is mostly designed for fun but he's good to bring into play as the third or fourth wave of attack. The problem is holding back in using him. Maybe your opponents will forget he's even on the board and think he's just a hindering object. If so, then Plastic Man has done his job well.
