I purchased the Cottontails size 3 mega pack baby disposable diapers to try on my son. I am a regular Pampers user. But they were on sale and they were already cheaper before the sale price. I figured it could not hurt to give these diapers a shot. If the did not work I was planning to go right back to the Pampers. I was hoping that they worked so I could save some cash. In today's economy, that is quite important.
The price and where I got them:
I purchased the Cottontails size 3 mega pack baby disposable diapers from Stop And Shop supermarket located here in Rhode Island, where I live. They are located in isle three there amongst the other baby related products. I have never seen this brand any where else before. They charged me only $18.99 for a 180 box of diapers! That was very cheap. But was it too good to be true?
Details and facts:
The designs on the Cottontails size 3 mega pack baby disposable diapers is fine. It is blocks, bears and so on at the rim and teddy bears near the tabs too. The tabs are velcro. The diaper is soft material not the plastic type stuff which was good. The lining around the leg was stretchy but not as stretchy as the Pampers brand that I normally use for my son.
These diapers are not scented, they don't contain any lotions or aloe in them. I do like that Pampers has the aloe in them. This is one reason why I was not sure that I was going to like these diapers for my son. He has sensitive skin and tends to rash in other diaper brands then Pampers.
The core in the middle of the diaper leaves a lot to be desired. It is very thin and feels stiff like. I did not like that at all. The Cottontails baby disposable diapers just don't seem to have very much flex ability to them. When you have an active baby this can put a damper on things a little bit.
The experience, my thoughts and recommendation:
The Cottontails size 3 mega pack baby disposable diapers turned out to be a total flop. I did not like that they were stiff. My son did not like that either. His skin around his inner leg was red, there were dig marks where the tabs were. The diaper was not put on tightly. I always leave it the right way for his shape. But these diapers don't shift with the baby, they shifted against him. It kept getting bunched up in the rear end. I never saw a diaper wedgie before, and I don't want to see one again. It looked a little uncomfortable if you know what I mean.
As far as leaks go. These diapers were aweful. At nightmy son was going through 4 to 6 diapers in a night. With my usual brand Pampers, he only went through 1. This meant getting up to change him, his clothing and his sheets every single time. It was a mess. Forget poopy diapers! Yuck, it flowed out the side near the legs. It was gross. I can't even tell you how fast I threw the remaining in the trash and bought my son his Pampers again.
There were way to many flaws with these diapers. I am not one to knock the "no name" brands. But the Cottontails size 3 mega pack baby disposable diapers were the worst diapers that I have ever used. I try brands here and there to save some cash. But I would rather buy Pampers even if the store were giving these away fro free! Honestly I can not recommend these diapers.
