| Ladysmom's Full Review: Country Bunny Lotion Bar |
Back in May of this year I read a review about Country Bunny Lotion Bar. I became so intrigued with a lotion in a bar form that I wrote the author to ask for more details.
Honestly, I just couldnt picture a lotion in a bar form. Lotion is supposed to be on the watery side and easily pumped from a container of some sort. Not solid.
My main concern was will it hold up through repeated hand washings and with the strong soap that I have to use during the day.
After receiving several samples in the mail and trying those, I knew I had to purchase the full sized version of the Country Bunny Lotion Bar. This was very easily done by going to the website that was provided by the representative. The biggest trouble is I had to stop myself. I ordered two of the lotion bars, one for me and one for my daughter.
It was just a matter of days before the package was sitting on my doorstep when I got home from work.
What I found when I opened the box was two cute tins measuring approximately 31/8 inches wide by 1 inch tall. On the top there is a Beatrix Potter type bunny. He is so cute.
The scents that I chose for me and my daughter were Oatmeal Milk & Honey and Fresh Floral Melon. The Oatmeal Milk & Honey has mostly a honey smell which is fine by me. The Fresh Floral Melon is more on the melon side with a clean smell to it.
The Country Bunny Lotion Bar is a beeswax based product which I thought would be difficult to use but it isnt.
This is a one ounce bar with the cut bunny on the top. It measures 21/4 inches by ˝ inch. You get a lot for just one ounce.
You just open the can, rub between the palms of your hand just like soap and place the lotion bar back into the can and rub your hand together, just like you would regular lotion. I did find it somewhat sticky the first few seconds after use but that quickly faded. It seems to absorb into the skin quickly.
You dont have the slick feeling for several minutes after applying like you do with regular lotion; in fact I thought that this lotion didnt work at all but that thought was quickly banished from my mind.
Now is the time for the test of the Country Bunny Lotion Bar. It is time for me to wash my hands at work with the strong anti-bacterial soap we use. I washed as usual and dried my hands with paper towels. I noticed that the lotion stayed.
The next time I washed I was prepared to apply the lotion again but what I found was; if you dont completely dry your hands but leave them slightly damp and rub them together again, your lotion is as good as new. I was hooked. I use this daily and sometimes twice a day depending on how much hand washing I have to do and I have owned this since the end of June. You cant tell that I have even used the Country Bunny Lotion Bar. If you look hard enough, you will find the cute bunny on the top of the bar beginning to show some wear and tear but other than that, I still have a huge bar left.
With regular use, you will find that the look and feel of your hands greatly improve; they are softer and not dried out.
The tin is so nice, it slips down the side of your purse or bag and is easily transported with you. Just dont leave it in a hot place or the lotion bar will melt.
The Country Bunny Lotion Bar would make wonderful gifts for just about anyone. They are attractive, very affordable at $6.50 per bar.
The other wonderful scents that these come in are:
Apricot Sorbet
Floral Fresh Melon
Grapefruit & Lime
Meadow Breeze
Mulberry
Naturally Unscented
Oatmeal Milk & Honey
Pearberry
Vanilla Cream
Vine Ripened Honeysuckle
I would love to try several more of the scents myself but there is a problem and that problem is, this last so very long that it will be awhile before I can order again and that is a good problem.
Ingredients List From The Bottom Of The Tin:
Beeswax, Cocos Nuiferal (Coconut Oil), Carthamus Tinctotius (Safflower Oil), Canola Oil, Prunus Armenlaco (Apricot Kernel), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Fragrance, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), may contain D&C Violet #2, Green MX-144A, Dark Brown MX-486, Yellow MX-577, D&G Green #6, Orange MX-607
This is one product that I do highly recommend. Even though it does sound strange, it works and is well worth the investment.
