Pros:Covers well, doesn't look like you are using makeup, doesn't cause breakouts.
Cons:None.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend Cover Girl Clean Makeup Classic Ivory for fair skinned individuals.
I started using face makeup when I was about sixteen years old; hard to believe that was 30 years ago! I have never been one to cake the makeup on though; I have always preferred a light makeup that evens out my natural skin tone rather than creates a "false face".
Over the years I have tried many brands of makeup. Some I liked, and some I tolerated. When I think about it, though, I always come back to Cover Girl Clean Makeup. It definitely says something about a product that has been on the market for so many years; if it wasn't good, it wouldn't still be one of the most popular makeup items in the store.
My skin tone tends to be very light during the winter season; therefore I have to switch out my makeup by seasons. I have found the Classic Ivory to be the perfect shade for my wintertime pallor (I tend to be anemic on a good day, and sometimes my skin has an almost-unhealthy looking white quality to it). Classic Ivory balances out my skin tone and gives my skin a healthy appearance while not being obvious. When I use Cover Girl, my husband doesn't comment on how pale I look. When I use other brands, he does. Enough said.
Cover Girl Clean Makeup claims that it won't clog pores, and my experience is that their statement is valid. Even at 46 years old I have the occasional breakout (how unfair is that??). When I am using Cover Girl Clean Makeup I have fewer breakouts and fewer skin issues in general. My skin looks healthier and is much clearer. Bonus!
Ingredients
These are taken from the package. I am including them in case someone may have an allergy to anything in this product:
water, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, mineral oil, talc, cetyl palmitate, glyceryl stearate, fragrance, stearic acid, eucalyptus oil, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium, aluminum silicate, triethanolamine, trisodium edta, cellulose gum, camphor, menthol, clove oil, propylparaben, methylparaben, lithium stearate, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides.
Sad the ingredients in everything we use sound so unappealing!
Final Thoughts
I can recommend Cover Girl Clean Makeup without any reservation. I have never experienced any skin problems when using this makeup (and they do state the product is dermatologist tested). My resulting skin tone is balanced and even, and it is impossible to tell that I am wearing makeup at all. Despite the lightness of this makeup, skin imperfections are covered without problem. My skin type tends to be both oily and dry in areas, and this makeup handles both areas without causing problems.
Price has gone up a bit; whereas Cover Girl Clean Makeup used to be one of the more inexpensive brands out there, now I am paying over $6.00 for a bottle. Still, it is money well spent in my book. A regular size bottle lasts me about two months, so it is not a huge financial outlay.
Give Cover Girl Clean Makeup a try if you haven't done so recently. The product is superior to most I have tried, and I have never been unhappy with the results I achieve in using this product.
