sweetycaroline's Full Review: Cover Girl Clean Makeup
To be blunt,I used to model. So,makeup is an experience I have had my share of. One of the pluses to using this brand is that it is sold nearly everywhere. No need to go to a department store should you run out of something,as most grocery stores will do. The only down side is that I wear a lot of glosses,and I have yet to see a wide selection of these in the Cover Girl brand. Also, the products may not work well for older women. Most of the older women I know claims it gives them a jaundiced look , or simply "slides" off their face. (I say older by meaning 45 and up.Not that it makes the woman "older" just older than me.)
Ultimate finish liquid powder makeup:
This is great for winter or to conceal acne. The coverage is even and stays on pretty much until I take it off.
Because it is heavy,summer use gives you the feeling of being weighted down.
Pressed powder:
These are really great. They have a clean smell and work well.The down fall is if you sweat while putting on your powder it will clump up and nearly ruin the whole compact. Avoid any moisture on your face while applying or you might need a whole new compact. It goes without saying to keep your compact in a dry area.
Cover Girl Perfect Blend Pencil:
This is my very favorite item. The pencil runs around $3.50 and has to be the best for the price. I love eyeliner and this pencil stays soft without the burns of liquid eyeliner. There is a soft sponge on the other end of the pencil that makes a perfect smudge for that dramatic look. I wore this eyeliner to a water park and it still looked perfect at the end of the day.
Liquid Makeup:
This is great for summer use. It is light with that Noxema smell I love so much. You can use a little powder over this and achieve that pretty,fresh,and young look. Best of all it is hard to over apply as it is so light.
The only problem I have had with this makeup are foundation and powder colors. I am extremely fair skinned so not even "ivory"shades match perfect. But then again ,I have yet to find another brand that does.
