The bride, the rain...and a Remarkable Mascara

Pros:Easy to apply, stays on, easy to remove with soap with water
Cons:NA
I'm an emotional kind of girl and it does not take much to trigger my tears. A good pull-at-the-heart-strings commercial will make me cry. Scenes from Bambi and Winnie the Pooh's Grand Adventure will leave me blubbering, much to the embarrassement of my children. So a wedding presents some very challenging moments for me, and my makeup of choice.
I attended a beautiful outdoor wedding yesterday, set in a Victorian manor surrounded by sprawling lawns and perennial borders glowing with the colours of fall. It should have been a perfect day for my friend the bride. But it rained. Knowing the forecast in advance, and armed with the knowledge that I would be reduced to tears the moment the bride made her grand entrance, I chose my weapons carefully. Enter Cover Girl's Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara.
This mascara goes on nicely with the aid of a very full teddy bear brush. No clumps, no lashes sticking oddly together, and it dries quickly so there is little danger of smudging if you accidently brush against your eyes doing last minute touch ups. I find that one application is perfectly sufficient for obtaining great, lush looking results.
Put to the wedding test, Cover Girl Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara passed with flying colours. True to form, I cried during the ceremony. I cried during the speeches, frequently and somewhat discreetly wiping away tears before they could streak down my face and ruin my foundation. The reception was held in outdoor tents and the air was moist with drizzle blown in with gentle breezes. My mascara stayed true to form. No running, no smudging, no Alice Cooper eyes despite the attack of the elements and my own wishy washy emotions.
And at the end of a lovely, but long day, having stayed up way past my bed time, and indulging in a little too much wine, I did the unspeakable and went to bed last night without removing my makeup. Too tired. And while I wouldn't take this face out in public this morning without some serious freshening up, I awoke with eyelashes perfectly intact, the mascara had stayed strong and kept the dreaded raccoon eyes at bay.
A little soap and water, as the product rightfully claims, was all it took to remove the makeup. Thank goodness for simplicity, and truth in advertising.
So to the emotionally challenged out there, I highly recommend this mascara. It truly is a wonderful product, and available at the equally wonderful and affordable Cover Girl prices. It will stay true through rain and sleet, and all the tears of joy of sorrow.
