Pros: The price is fairly cheap and I got a free face powder.
Cons: Poor coverage, feels greasy, face looks shiny.
The Bottom Line: I am not sure that I recommend this product. I have used a lot of different foundations and this one is just not that great.

| Presleysmama's Full Review: Cover Girl Tru Blend Liquid Foundation |
Hi, I am Reno and I'm a beauty product addict. Whew...got that off my chest, and by the way has anyone started a recovery/support group for this problem yet? This is an expensive, time consuming, hard to support but admittedly fun addiction. Which brings me to the real reason for my review.
Being a true addict, I am always searching for a better product for my face, lips eyes, hair whatever. Really just any excuse to buy stuff that has to do with these things. So I decided I needed to try Cover GirlTru Blend foundation. The fact that there was a free face powder involved helped me to make my decision as well. So I made my purchase at my local Wal-Mart and eagerly took it home to try.
I bought the foundation in the color Classic Ivory. The display even had a little plastic color pallet that you could place over your hand to assure yourself you were buying the right color for you. Okay, so I had by new booty home with me and could feel myself becoming anxious to try my new stuff (I had also purchased some new eye colors and a lip gloss as well). So I got my son a snack, put his shows on and got him some juice so I could go upstairs and have a few moments alone with my fix.
I gleefully ripped open the package and popped the lid off of the foundation. The bottle is a 1oz size with a pump lid. I squirted some into my palm and proceeded to dab it on my face. Then I started to spread it around. This foundation is very fluffy and light. A fact that at first I liked, but soon realized that means light coverage. It is so light and fluffy it reminds me of some sort of dessert or dessert topping. I found the coverage to be lacking. Also, after wearing this foundation for a few hours, my face looked really shiny. Infact I think I caught one of my co-workers checking her reflection in my forehead!
Being the trooper that I am I gave this stuff a try for a good two weeks, but it came up lacking for me every time. The bottle is messy, it is hard to tell exactly how much to dispense and then you can't put any extra back because it is a pump. The foundation felt very slick on my face also. I will say that the color does blend well, but I am thinking that it is because the foundation is so sheer that your skin is really showing through. This one left me very disappointed and needing to try something else. The only plus for me was that I got a free True Blend face powder, which I do like.
Tru Blendmakeup contains:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerine, Water, Dimethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Crosspolymer, Methicone, PEG/PPG-18 Dimethicone, Benzyl Acohol, Ethylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxides.
Maybe it is just because I have older skin, but I did not like the way this foundation felt on my face, nor did I like my face looking shiny and greasy at the same time. I like Cover Girl products, I just did not care for this one. As a matter of fact, I replaced this foundation with Cover GirlAquasmooth foundation and I really like that one. Overall I would say if you want really light coverage and shiny skin, then this is the foundation for you!
Thanks for reading.
