| worththetrip's Full Review: Crabtree &Amp; Evelyn La Source 60 Second Fix Skin... |
For some they buy a product and stick with it out of convenience or comfort but this is a product worth whipping out the credit card for. So rev your cards ladies! I'm a tough person to impress but Crabtree has my attention.
Crabtree & Evelyn has come out with two new patent pending products. One being the La Source Hand Recovery and the other is the Gardeners Hand Recovery. Each of these items can be found in the La Source 60-Second Fix and in the Gardeners 60-Second Fix gift set packages which also includes a separate moisturizer (gift set as pictured above-do not think that there are four items in this package. The picture above also shows the packaging that each of these items are packed in, inside this neat little gift packaging).
$25 for the gift set is considerably reasonable (although check out there web site from time to time I've seen it on sale for $20). The Hand Recovery for either line can be purchased separately for $18.
Now what makes both of these Hand Recovery products special...well they are both exfoliating products that your spread and massage into your hands. The total time for this action is approximately 15-20 seconds but truthfully I have found that it also improves your circulation and I might go a little further ;) Once done a quick rinse and your hands feel like a childs. Slather with the moisturizer that is included and your are ready to go out and hold anyones hands that is willing to oblige!!! The combination of these two products makes your hands feel as though they have just had a paraffin treatment. Use after a regular manicure or any day of the week for that spa treatment feeling. Oh one other thing -it's great to do on your feet as well after a long day!
Some things to know:
There is a grittiness to these products similar to a facial scrub so be aware that people who have sensitive skin should be careful using this product. I'm of this type but do not seem to have a problem using either of these products on my hands.
Now some ingredient information that makes up the difference between La Source and Gardeners Hand Recovery products. La Source Hand Recovery contains macadamia seed oil/sea algae as its base and Gardeners Hand Recovery contains lavender oil. These oils are both mixed with mineral salts. I have used both products and truthfully prefer the Gardeners over the La Source but they are both great products and would highly recommend either. As far as the moisturizer goes...both include shea butter and absorb rather quickly into your hands. But the star of the gift set is the Hand Recovery products. (Side bar: The packaging for the La Source makes generally a better visual presentation for gift giving if the person is not a gardener or semi-naturalist.)
Not Important Information:
How did I end up trying this product? A friend of mine gave me a sample that she had rec'd from her sister who works for Crabtree & Evelyn. My girlfriend was so impressed that she gave out these samples to myself and several other girls. We all agreed that this product was a must buy. And buy I did - for myself and every other woman that I know for the holidays.
