Pros: Easy hook up, works well, sturdy build quality, ease of disposal
Cons: takes up space, backing up is difficult (easier to unhook and do by hand)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product for anyone with a considerable yard to pick up grass clippings. It really does a nice job and leaves your lawn looking immaculate.

| jhc003's Full Review: Craftsman 14 Cu. Ft., 42" High-Speed Lawn Sweeper ... |
I just bought this sweeper last week and used it for the first time yesterday. I bought it mainly to pick up the grass clippings. In upstate NY it seems our lawn mowing schedule revolves around the rain, at least during the Spring months. In one week or less the lawn tends to get long and even though I have mulching blades on my tractor it still leaves clippings here and there and clumps. I saw a professional landscaper using this sweeper on a house nearby and was impressed with the job it did.
Figure a solid hour assembling this item, I had one person helping which makes it easier. The sweeping unit is solid and the weight and size of the sweeper is larger than it seems. Although it can be broken down fairly easily if you don't have a lot of room to store it. It seems to be heavy duty so I hope it lasts long. There really is nothing to it though, once assembled just hook it up to your tractor (it's made to fit just about every style of tractor) with the pin and away you go. It works very well picking up the clippings and makes the lawn look extremely nice. There is also a lever on the sweeper so you can adjust the height of the brushes. You can also move along fairly fast with the sweeper. And dumping is a piece of cake. The unit is made so that you just tip the basket portion up (there is also a rope so you could do it from your seat) and it drops the clippings in a neat pile. I mowed first and then went around with the sweeper, I think this is the best way to do it. I have less than 1 acre but I refuse to rake clippings. I also read another review and the person uses this for leaves in the fall, I can't wait to try that. I bought this at Sears and paid about $260.
