Pros: durable construction, removes leaves, sticks, thatch from deep and shallow grass better than a rake.
Cons: not easily stored. could have a better height adjustment design
The Bottom Line: A quality, durable, intelligent design for anyone sick of raking. My best lawn investment yet!!

| bbarry464's Full Review: Craftsman 14 Cu. Ft., 42" High-Speed Lawn Sweeper ... |
I live on a half acre with 10 large trees. My yard layout is that as once the leaves fall they do not easily blow away. I'm stuck with them until I clean them up, each year I dread fall. I love a large yard but the fall clean-up is humorous with a rake. The neighbor kids will not ring my doorbell looking for work, they simply walk right by to the next house. Sadly I have logged almost 30+ hours each year to accomplish this task. This last year I spent an entire weekend raking, only to clean half my lot. One busy winter and here is spring. Leaving the other half of my lot with leaves still there half decomposed after sitting under snow for the winter. The leaves are thick and buried in deep grass that should have received one last mow before winter. My task of this year's spring clean-up worsened by not finishing fall clean-up. This led me to look for another means. Price kept me from pursuing a cyclone which might be too much for my yard but something must be done. That "right tool for the job," quote keeps entering my head. I read about the craftsman yard sweeper with great doubt in its abilities. Pushed by memories of entire weekends wasted on leaves I purchased one knowing a 90 day return policy would keep it from being a complete blunder. I took my new yard sweeper home on a sat. Evening. Erected it on Sunday mourning, swept my entire yard thick grass and all, a couple passes. Dumped several loads in the middle of my driveway and 12, yes 12 packed to the rim trashcans later of leaves, leave debris, sticks large and small, thatch and grass clippings my yard is immaculate. Hats off to one fine peace of equipment. What surely would have taken me 16-20 hours, tired arms and blisters, was accomplished in 3. One and a half to sweep and one a half to bag them in trash cans. My girlfriend said something about a king of the hill show how the neighbors end up hiding one of the characters new lawn mowers because he kept bragging about it, she said she would hide my new sweeper if I kept bragging about my yard and the time I saved. I was worried the sweeper would not do a quality job of getting deep like I do with my rake. Honestly the sweeper puts me and my rake to shame. It truly does pick EVERYTHING short of a brick up. Once again, thank you craftsman. This machine is durable, easy to use, and an intelligent design that will remove all your leaves, debris, and grass clippings in a timely and quality manner.
