When my husband and I purchased our home on two acres, we needed new lawn equipment since we'd left our old with his dad back in another state. Because I had purchased many Craftsman products over the years, I urged my husband to go with Craftsman mowers (he was an old Snapper buff). We did end up buying the 42" riding mower plus a push mower and a chainsaw and trimmer. About a year after our purchases, we called the Sears salesman who had originally sold us all of these items. We had discovered through use that the riding mower was a bit too small to handle the two acres proficiently--sure, it did beautiful cutting, but took such a long time with only 42" of cutting per row. We needed more powerful equipment to handle the brush and uneven property. Our salesman was great. He allowed us a trade in for more powerful, bigger equipment allowing the full purchase amount of what we'd earlier purchased to be deducted from the price of the new equipment. And to boot, we made the new purchases at a time when the new equipment was on sale. Did we ever get a great bargain. We now own a 50" lawn tractor. We've used this machine for two years now and it is still out performing any Snapper product we ever used. We'd had to do no repair work--only routine maintenance and blade purchases. Now, anytime we need tools, yard equipment, or any other anything else that Craftsman makes, we go straight to Sears. As a matter of fact, when our ancient Craftsman tiller recently quit on us (we had bought it used two years ago from a neighbor), we headed straight to Sears to purchase a new Craftsman tiller. We got a great deal. Again, we were fortunate enough to have needed a new tiller when the top of the line one for Craftsman was on sale. We saved about $300.00! Go Craftsman! We are diehard fans!
