Pros: Powerful sucking action
Cons: topples over easily
The craftsman wet and dry vac is a really good shop vac.
I purchased one for my husband because we were always wanting to clean out the car and tired of running to the car wash to use the outside vacume. The power this little guy has in great. It will suck the carpet right off of the floor.
The craftsman 12 hp comes with several different attachments. Long narrow one for getting in the cracks of the seats of your car and getting under your seats. A small wide nozzle for the seats and carpet and another medium size nozzle for the trunk and back window. However, you can use the 12 hp craftsman vac in your home also. I use mine on my couch. I use the long narrow attachment to get down in the cushions of the couch. You never know what your going to find down there. Popcorn, peanuts, candy and every other snack you eat in front of the television.
Our hot water heat had blown a heating element. My husband , the handy man he isn't. Tore the water heater apart. I didn't know this but in the bottom of the heater there was a build up of calcium from the water. Well we got the old craftsman shop vac out and sucked it clean. Of course we drained the tank first.
There are many, many uses for a wet and dry shop vac. I would suggest the craftsman 12 hp shop vac. It's not really large and it isn't really small. It seems to be just the right size.
You do need to remember to shake the filter out when you empty the bagless tank. Be sure to keep the filter clean for better performance.
The only thing I didn't like about the shop vac was that the cord isn't really long enough. But thats why they invented extension cords. The other thing is that it topples over easily. Say you were vacuming in the house and pulling on the nozzle to move down the hall way, well it topples over with the least bit of pressure. So you need to be careful... Other than that, great piece of equipment for the money.
