Pros: Easy to begin while still challenging for all skills levels
Cons: 1 player at a time only
So I'm no huge fan of video games, but after playing Crash Bandicoot 3 only a few times, I was completely hooked. But don't think the game is only for non-gamers like myself. I have spent countless hours trading the controller on Crash Bandicoot with my boyfriend-an avid Playstation guru. The great thing about this game is that there are so many different levels of success within each "board" that it can appeal to any skill-level.
The thing that I dislike about most video games is how seriously they take themselves. The great thing about Crash Bandicoot Warped is that at the same time that you are cursing your character for dying AGAIN, you are laughing at the Ooga-Booga guy telling you "You MISERABLE little Bandicoot. When will you ever LEARN?" It doesn't quite come across the same way typing it out, but trust me - it's funny. I've even died on purpose just to hear him talk.
The basics of the game are very easy to learn, even if you have no experience with manipulating a game control. And the further you get into the game, the more options you are given with different devices or ways to go faster, shoot your enemy, etc... So you don't feel overwhelmed.
For those more expert players, there are 3 levels of challenge for each of the 30 boards. Once you've successfully made it all the way through, you can try again with a time trial, or you can go through and try to collect all of the magic boxes. It is quite a challenge.
Overall, this is a highly enjoyable game that is both amusing and challenging. I think that most people will enjoy their trials and tribulations with Crash and his sidekicks.
