If you have read my review about Crayola 96 Count Crayons, than you likely realize the adoration that the girlie's and I maintain for Crayola Crayons. Although the traditional Crayola Crayons remain my favorite color crayon fix, I certainly appreciate Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons! In fact, it is safe to conclude that they offer a fun twist to the coloring adventure. Both of my girls like this set, and other Crayola Twistables Crayons. I paid $2.49 for the package of eight, and highly recommend this set. Although this isn't an economical choice for classroom use, it certainly offers a reasonably priced adventure for in-home coloring feasts.
Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons offer 4 colors in each Twistable unit. The housing is clear plastic, containing the crayon within. On the top of the color unit, there is a twistable barrel. When you turn this barrel, the color is extended out of the bottom of the color unit. This process is easy. Each color stick is approximately 6 ½” in length.
The Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons set include eight Twistables™.
Including the following combinations:
Yellow / Lime-Green / Orange / Red
Pink / Orange / Brown / Purple
Brown / Turquoise / Red-Orange / Green
Navy-Blue / Turquoise / Red / Royal-Blue

The eight Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons are fun to write with, draw pictures with, and/or color pictures with. This set was recently released; we purchased ours at our local Wal-Mart store. Simplistic to use, these colors will be enjoyed by many. You can obtain different results by writing with the tip of the Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons, or by using the side of the crayon tip and rotating it. My girls have enjoyed experimenting with these colors.
One of my friends works with children that have sensory issues, she mentioned that the Crayola Twistables Crayons are well received by these students. She stated that the children experience less breakage, and tend to like the smooth barrel, versus the texture of paper covered Crayolas.
The set of eight Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons arrives in a durable vinyl pouch, that contains a cardboard insert. This is perfect for storing, and allows clear visibility of the color units. These crayons are non-toxic and conform to ASTM D-4236. Crayola Twistables Crayons are recommended for children ages 4 and up. It is safe to conclude that most children – and even some adults – will enjoy receiving this set. We often put together art packages for gift giving. I will likely include a set of Crayola Rainbow Twistables Crayons in future ensembles.
