Voidprime,

I laughed that someone actually made this figure. All they need now is a twin peaks action figure line with Agent Cooper, Bob, the dwarf, the giant, the log lady, and the one one armed man who points without chemicals

Oh, Accoutrements makes some awesome action figures. The Lunch Lady, Bigfoot, Barista and a whole host of historical figures.

They also make one of my all time favorites, the Bacon Bandage:

How can you not love that?!?

Dis Brown Bathrobe,

I just now read this review, and I am delighted! You have done great homage to the original CCL. What better tribute to our dark and hair-encrusted future, really?

Yay! And you can be no more delighted than I, who have this goddess perched on my bookshelf. At some point, I'm quite sure it will become a shrine.

I did my best to emulate her fashion-forward style, in my own humble way. Someday, of course, it won't be a costume... more like a uniform...

But you included the all-important Crazy Cat Lady Flask, a detail the good folks at Accoutrements Action Figures inexplicably excluded. Because really, can we become true CCLs without one? I don't think so.

(Belated) Bravo!

I would take a bow, but the cat is sleeping on my lap and I don't want to disturb him.

Jack,

The movable joints are nice and all, but I'm holding out for Crazy Cat Lady Action figure with the kung fu grip.

Oh, man, she could take down GI Joe quicker than you can say "cough up a hairball". And you know what logically follows the kung fu grip. That's right, her own syndicated cartoon. Yeah, baby!

Maybe it'll be out just in time for XMas.

Could be - but any day is a good day for a Crazy Cat Lady.

Smorg,

...On second thought... maybe my cat isn't all that psychotic after all! ;o)

I believe every kitten has within it the desire to consume items that are not strictly food. I'm hoping he outgrows this passion, but in the meantime, I'm hiding all my jewelry.

If he starts with the office supplies, I'm doomed.

Mark,

spewed my morning coffee out my nose I was laughing so hard at your review!

Well, I hope it didn't get on the cat. They're very fastidious, you know. Unlike the Crazy Cat Lady....;)

Mi,

With all due respect Sue (and Freddie sitting on top of my monitor watching), one cat is child’s play. Two is codependency. Three is a bit strange. Four is just smelly. Five or more and you’re on your way to bathrobe wearing, cat-rap smelling delusional bliss.

You're undoubtedly right - I don't have full CCL credentials just yet. Our two old, crotchety cats were a good beginning, but sadly we had to start over. I wonder what sort of CCL street cred I would get if I got another four kittens?

Don’t ask me how I know this, but I do. I will now buy the toy for someone who needs an intervention.

This will be an excellent lure for your intervention, for no true CCL can resist her. Unfortunately, she will also strengthen bonds between owner and cat, making any attempt at intervention much harder. It's just a catch-22.

C,

Late for the party but look who's greeting me at the door.... CCL!

Heheheheheheheheh. Yes, in all her glory.

She scares more than just children. I am so tempted to Photoshop your face on that action figure's body. LOL

Oh, you must! I promise to put it on my profile page if you do.

By the way, my wife is jealous and is willing to kill for this. I better protect myself.

Oh, you should just go out and get one right now - you don't have a prayer. Once a genetically destined future CCL gets a look at her, we must have her. Besides, your action figures need her - she's a calming influence on all the other toys. It's the near catatonia that does it.

Smorg,

Gosh, this thing sounds tempting... but my cat is rather savage with toys that have legs (he a bit of a psycho, that one).

My cat does wistfully eye the Crazy Cat Lady with her bevy of swattable kitties. But I keep her far out of his fuzzy grasp lest he eat her or one of her charges. Since he ate a suede necklace last week it isn't out of the question......

Thanks for a heck of a good read, Sue!! Hope you'll have enough time to write more soon!

My pleasure - and I hope so, too! I've got two movies and a book that I have to keep fresh in my mind so I can review them next week.

On second thought I better get some notes down now.......;)

Barbara,

where can I find one? She sounds so divine..:)

I wish I knew - she was a gift! If I had to guess, I would say at fine luxury boutiques. Dontcha think?

"Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function".

That's another one of the quotes on the package! Oh, too funny.

Take care of yourself!

Stef,

I think maybe you've inhaled one too many cat hairs.

Well, I know that's true. It's hard not to when there's a cat sleeping on my pillow. The stinker.

How can you possibly think that poop brown clashes with anything, let alone blue checked pajama pants? Poop brown is the new black.

You make a valid point. I do worry though - what color was that bathrobe originally? The CCL is never intentionally stylish, she just filthed into it.

BTW, I'll be wearing poop brown, head to toe, on Saturday. You'll recognize me as the one in the bathrobe.....;)

Rick,

If you look closely, the Cat Lady Action Figure is really Drew Barrymore, circa 2047. A fitting retirement for such a quotable fount of Einsteinian verbiage.

By jove, I do believe you're right! Under the poop brown bathrobe are hidden a few sagging tattoos and several books of Reader's Digest condensed quotes.

Both the figure and your account of same are priceless...

Thank you kindly! I do laugh every time I look at her. Then I go over and rearrange her cats so they'll be more comfortable.....;)

Telynor,

When I first saw this figure, I laughed for a good twenty minutes or so, then realized that perhaps it was a bit close to home. Maybe too close.

I hear ya. We laugh lest we weep - though I do love the bathrobe...;)

Albeit I only have two cats about the place, they are completely spoiled and pampered. Bad enough I had to go the CFA show last year, and spent the time happily wandering around the displays of breeders willing to have me shellout for their precious purebreeds.

We had two elders, now we have just one kitten who is spoiled absolutely rotten. I've been to a cat show and cooed at all the kitties until my head nearly exploded with the cuteness. They were beautiful, but we stuck with our good old DSH from the shelter.

Knowing the three letter acronym for my breed of cat - that has to be another sign of my impending fate.

:)
