Pros: cute jewelry, real Cinderella voice
Cons: earring broke early on, bracelet charms sometimes fall off
My 3 year old daughter has been fascinated by Cinderella for the last year and a half. She loves everything about Cinderella and often refers to herself as Cinderella. So, this summer when she turned 3 I found a Cinderella dress for her along with this Disney Princess Cinderella Jewelry set. Words cannot explain how excited she was when she saw the dress and jewelry. This was definitely a hit.
This set came with 3 bracelets, one pair of clip on earrings, one ring, one magic necklace, and one light up tiara. All of the jewelry has something on it that resembles Cinderella.
The bracelets are pink, blue, and silver with a matching charm. The charms are pictures of the tiara, the glass slipper and cinderella herself. The charms are held onto the bracelet by a thin clip. The earings have pictures of Cinderella and are the silver color. The tiara is silver, but has pink and blue jewels. She also enjoys pressing the button on the tiara that causes it to light up. The ring is blue with a pink jewel in the shape of a heart. The Cinderella necklace is a "pearl" necklace that has a blue glass slipper with a pink heart. When the button on the necklace is pushed you hear Cinderella's voice say "Hello! I'm Cinderalla!" The voice is the one you hear from the movie.
The lights on the tiara and the voice on the necklace are powered by button batteries (2 of AG3 and 2 of AG13). The set comes with these batteries and so far they still work, but are not common batteries which make it tricky to replace when the time come.
This set is recommended for children over the age of 3 because some of the set has smaller pieces that could become a choking hazard for little ones.
This set cost around $13 at ToysRus. The price seemed a little high, but you get a lot of pieces and it does have the Disney name on it.
My daughter loves this set and plays dress up with it all the time. It is safe enough for her to put on the jewelry by herself and she enjoys dressing herself up like a princess. We did find out within the first month that one of the earrings broke and we haven't been able to get the hinge working so that it will clip on an ear. Also, on one of the bracelets the charm fell off. Fortunately that is easy to fix. But the rest of the jewelry is doing fine and we haven't seen any other issues.
I like how this set looks classy on my daughter and not "cheap". She looks really cute and her brother likes to tell her so too.
This is a cute jewelry set for little girls that love to be Cinderella. I just wish some of the pieces had been a little more sturdy.
Thank you to carstairs38 for his 4th Annual all things Disney Write off for inspiring me to write this review!
