I purchased this card shortly after it was introduced to the market. That has been some time ago, but it still stands up to even the most graphics-intense programs, and better yet - it is relatively inexpensive today.
The TNT2 chipset is superb, rendering excellent detail with blazing speed. I keep looking at the newer video cards hitting the market, but I still do not feel the need to upgrade (yet). And believe me, I am an "upgrade junkie". I run this card in my Pentium II 400mhz machine, with 128MB of RAM, using the Abit BH6 motherboard. So far, there has not been a game yet that slows down the graphics on this beast. I know it will come some day, but until then, I am getting my money's worth out of my investment.
Creative provides a nice collection of software with the video card. The Colorific and 3Deep programs give you an easy way to customize video settings according to your display. The Creative settings tabs that get implemented into your video settings (right click on your screen, select "properties") are excellent and easy to use. And the best part, Creative posts software updates on their web site, so you can up to date on all the latest driver releases to keep your card fresh.
I am sure by now that the price has dropped significantly lower than what I paid, but this remains a good, strong card and a solid investment. If you have an older TNT or S3 card with 16MB of RAM or less, I highly recommend this as a cost-effective way to add some speed to your system. This is especially true if your system will accommodate an AGP card and you still use a PCI version.
