| roselane's Full Review: Creative Technology Nomad Jukebox (20 GB) MP3 Play... |
I am in my car a good 12 hours a week, so I bought this jukebox to keep me company. I can create a long playlist and sit back and enjoy the drive. As someone who is not particularly computer savvy, I found the set-up to be relatively simple, although I was not able to figure out how to download from "Music Match". I had to use Creative's set-up. I think the sound is terrific and I don't mind the size (about the size of a portable CD player). I wish the screen were larger, but it is as big as any other jukebox I've seen. My only real complaint is how much it freezes. It froze several times when I was downloading songs into it. It also freezes in the car if I try to use the power cord that I used for my portable CD player. Two people specializing in electronics (my dad and the guy at "Best Buy") said the car power cord was compatible, but the unit always freezes when I use it. The "travel kit" accessory for this thing is ridiculously expensive so I choose to just keep it charged at home. Luckily, it holds a charge for a fairly long time. I feel this is also a fairly durable item as I have dropped it a couple of times and it kept working.
