when i originally went looking for mp3 players, i ran into the problem of 'which one". nomad64 is the right choice. size, power, function. it has the added extras: FM radio, limited to earphone cord as your ant. still a nice added feature. onboard MIC, removable 32mb. par. port down/up load. (corrected in the nomad II - USB). spend the extra dollars for 64mb. easy to install, easy to use . you can only down load mp3s you can not upload fron the player (i like to download at work - fast connection, and then bring then home. nomad64 will not let you upload your mp3s (data only). overall - better then happy with the product, "only wish i waited for the nomad II"
