Pros: Great sound quality, Lots of features!
Cons: No USB, possibly defective (?), low quality voice recording
The Bottom Line: It's a decent player but definitely not as good as the newer ones. I bought mine just before the Nomad II came out.. bummer.

| wub's Full Review: Creative Technology Nomad Jukebox (32 MB) MP3 Play... |
A Basic Overview of my Opinion:
Creative's Nomad 64 is a good overall mp3 player for most people. The features are wonderful! The fact that it had an FM tuner and voice recording on top of 64mb ram for mp3s influenced my decision to buy greatly.
MP3 Playback:
Sound quality is EXCELLENT, in my opinion. I have heard people say that the bundled headphones are not very good but I think they're great! The music is always clear and crisp. I love it.
FM Tuner:
The FM tuner is pretty good. Reception is sometimes stifled if you're indoors, however.
Voice Recording:
The voice recording function of the player is less than perfect. What you're recording has to be pretty close to the microphone (about 3ft) in order for you to hear it well. You can only record one thing at a time onto the player, too. Eh.
Miscellaneous:
The buttons on the sides of the player are a little tough to push and the small carrying case bundled with it is a little disappointing. But most mp3 players don't come with a case at all so I can't really complain about even a less-than-ideal case included.
Another thing I'm not happy about is the parallel port docking station. It's very slow (about 100k/sec) and if you have other programs running -- EXPECT INTERRUPTIONS! When I transfer mp3s I have to close all other programs or else the player will get interrupted and it will have to restart the upload.
My Experience:
I bought this player in March and I had problems with the SmartMedia card. Songs that were put on the card would get garbled. I talked to Creative and they said it would have to be exchanged through the vendor. I had an absolutely horrible time with this vendor (Do NOT buy from PC Mall/Mac Mall/eCost.com!!) but I did end up getting the player exchanged. Guess what, though? The player was still messed up! The same thing happened with this new player.
I had a friend who also bought a Nomad 64 and his was perfect. I tried his SmartMedia card in my player and it worked perfectly. I tested it by downloading music to it and it worked. When I tried my SmartMedia card in his player, it messed up the same way -- so I was sure it was just the SmartMedia card.
I finally got them to exchange just the card and everything has worked since! I don't know how I got two defective products in a row and I am disappointed in that. But really, after the hassle I feel that this player is all-around good.
