| meltdown213's Full Review: Creative Technology Nomad II (32 MB) MP3 Player |
This is my fith mp3 player that I have owned. I mostly use them for exercising and entertainment. My last players were Rio 1, Rio 800, Intel Pocket Concert, Samsung.
The Creative Nomad 2c is by far the best player for exercising. It's solid feel and easy to hit buttons while exercising makes this player a Winner. The additional remote control clips onto clothing and is a must have option.
An accessorie kit comes with a remote control, case, cassette adapter, and extra set of headphones.($30) A docking station with re-chargable batteries lets you transfer songs from the station while your player charges($25).The accessories really add value and fuctionality to your player. I can now listen to my player through my car stereo and it sounds very good.
The features On the Nomad 2c include repeat and random modes, preset or custom EQ, Adjustable backlite display, Voice recording, Artist and title display.
I've seen other opinions knock the Nomad 2c on the volume level. It is just as loud as any of the players I've owned and the sound quality is awesome. I wonder what players they've listen too that's louder.
The software that comes with the Nomad2c is very easy to use. It operates like an extension of Windows Explorer. You don't have to import the songs into the program like all other players(Can be a real pain). The Software used by your mp3 player is a very important and over looked feature. Poorly designed software will make transferring songs a pain and will reduce the amount of time you use your player.
You can add up to 128mb smart media card ($54). I have a 192mb and I can store 55-60 songs(between 96-128kbs rates).
For about $240 I have a 192mb player with all of the accessories. This is a Cadillac among players.
I wished i would have bought this player sooner, I have a feeling this will last me for sometime.
