Overall I am not satisfied due to one very critical shortcoming. The encoding to MPEG-2 does not match the standards for either VCD or SVCD, and it seems that through trial and error that very, very few encoding programs can encode it to be compliant. It doesn't really do what you need if you anticipate on burning any type of video CD's. On the other hand it did tune in and record right out of the box. If only they had provided a decent conversion program. Additionally there is no customer support. Even the email customer support did not function. I will be returning mine to the store and going with a better manufacturer.
