Pros: Blue Lights, Touch sensitive controls
Cons: Battery cover, heavy in weight and fairly bulky size, USB plug, doesn't work with itunes.
The Bottom Line: Spend the extra $$$ for the ipod Nano. Much smaller, lighter and flexible in use. The ipod's easier to use also.

| jlan02's Full Review: Creative Technology Zen MicroPhoto (4 GB) MP3 Play... |
I just got the Zen Microphoto 4 GB, and I have mixed feelings about it. First I like the blue LED lights. They really make it feel more expensive, and add cool effects at night. The touch sensitive control pad is also nice, but at times it can either not register your finger, or registers it too much, causing the display screen to speed through your menue. Also, when you plug the usb cord into it, you really have to jam it in there to get it to click. When you go to remove the cord from the mp3 player, you have to yank it out really hard. It almost feels like you're going to break it. The battery has a cover over it on the back that feels like a really cheap plastic that could break easily if the mp3 player is ever dropped. If this backing did ever break, the battery would fall out (like many cell phones have problems with). I wish the battery were set internally like in the ipod, so this cover wouldn't be necesary. All in all, i'm returning my Zen and buying an ipod Nano. After seeing my friend's nano's and comparing them to the Zen micro, the ipod has much better build quality and also works with itunes. The Zen Micro is very complicated if you use itunes-- you must transfer all your itunes music to the music organizer that comes with the Zen (which is MUCH more complicated than itunes).
