Note: as with most of the items I review in this category the items are not toys, games, game pieces, game boards, game devices, or cards to use in game apparatus, nor are they office materials per se, rather these are classroom type materials created by educational publishers and intended for use with Early Childhood, primary and older age students in a classroom or home school environment.

This product is 11 X 16 INCH BOOK BUDDY BOOKS
Creative Teaching Press™ Lap Book Buddy Bags measuring 11 X 16 inches are dandy for sending home larger borrow books or other materials for at home usage.
Created of heavy duty poly material for durability generated from quality raw materials formulated to industry standard for safety in the classroom and use with small children, each clear plastic bag has robust handle along with a nice child pleasing four-color Stick Kids design on the front which includes a spot for writing Little Learner name, or for labeling the bag if it is being used for storage in the classroom.
This larger 11 x 16 inch size is dandy for larger books, charts, maps and more. Book buddy bags are designed to keep books and classroom teaching materials sheltered and nicely organized in the classroom.
I like that books and other work materials can be sent home with students with expectation that they will be returned in fine condition. Typically six year olds overflow with eagerness, good intentions and immature behavior. Gusto is why I like teaching so much, enthusiasm for reading is lovely wonderful to view.
Good intentions will be gradually refined to turn into part of each Little Learner’s value system. Empowering Little Readers with tools, aptitude and ability to have a loan of and carry class materials home and return them as good as when they left the classroom.
Buddy bags help supply the tangible means needed to provide security and serve as a prompt that the book is at home, and needs to be returned to the classroom.
I like that the bags do have sturdy handles, however, Osage County First Grade does not tote the bags home using those handles. Books are placed in the bag and the bag goes into back packs each student has for carry materials to and from school each day.
Little Partner Work Materials placed in the bags are easy to store on hooks where Little Partners can find, make use of and return the materials at the end of the work period. Little Partners in our Osage County First Grade classroom use and return to the bag puzzles, flash cards, work pages, phonics cards, paper for writing, math manipulatives, patterning pieces; anything we use in the classroom can and is placed in the clear poly bags where they are easy to get to and are readily seen by Little Learners.
Happy to recommend Creative Teaching Press™ Lap Book Buddy Bags.

In 1965, classroom teacher Luella Connelly was looking for products that would pick up where textbooks left off. Connelly created "Recipes for Creative Writing," a box of 4" x 6" cards full of writing ideas. What started as a simple idea to help students learn, turned into a company that Luella and her husband, Pat, ran until their retirement in 1998.
