Creepy Susie And 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children by
Angus Oblong is not for children! My 16 year old got this as a Christmas gift and I heard her and the other kids talking about it. After hearing about "The Debbies" and "Happy, happy, happy, happy Sammie" I had to check out this book.
It's gruesome. It's twisted. It is more fun than I've had in a long time. This is not for little kids, it's for BIG kids (and adults) only. This book pokes fun of us and our parents and our friends at school. There are delightfully creepy illustrations that remind me a bit of Charles Addams, and there is a small bit of inappropriate language (the "F" word). I don't know who Angus Oblong is and I've been looking. This appears to be the only work at his publisher's website under this name. I feel pretty certain this is a more main stream writer in disguise.
Creepy Susie only smiles when she's holding something slimy. Find out what slimy things she holds!
