Several months ago I decided to get the Cricut Mini Monograms Cartridge for my Cricut machine. I have several other cartridges as well, but I am a monogramming nut (purses, note cards, etc...) so I knew this would be right up my alley. Even though the retail price of these cartridges is anywhere from $60-$80 you can usually get a good deal on EBay. I get mine there from around $20-$40 and I paid $38 for this one.

In the little storage box you get a keypad overlay, which goes over the keypad of your machine, cartridge, and an instruction manual which will show you all the cuts on the cartridge and which key to punch.
You get the alphabet on this cartridge, but some letters you have more choices than others. For example, the letter T you can choose a T like a typewriter style T or a curly font style T. Not all of the letters have this choice, like the letter P it just has a curly style one. You can have the letters cut onto a circle, cut the letter only, or have them cut onto a square, but if you do the square ones then they have stitching inside them (the letters that is).
Other creative features are you can make the square style letter stitched around the edges of the square, or the dots style, which has cute dots around the edge of the square. As with the other cartridges, you have the shadow and blackout features available and these make good features to make backgrounds.
Not only do you get letters, but numbers as well, then a few sayings: smile, I love you (with love being a heart rather than written out) friends, and thanks. Then you also get a scalloped circle which is awesome to use, a scalloped square, circle with dots on the edge, and plain circle. There are 3 other shapes that have slots on each end that you could slide ribbon through- a square, circle and rounded square. There's also a round ornament shape as well.
I will admit one thing about this cartridge, if you are using it to do a name, it can look like.....well it can look like you were drunk while doing it because the letters don't match sometimes- like I mentioned earlier some are curly and you just have that to choose from, and then other times other letters are somewhat different in style. It can get a little annoying. I find just doing one letter makes this cartridge work out best.
Overall, I would recommend this cartridge just for the fact I love cutting the letters inside shapes. It is well worth having.
