missy811's Full Review: Cricut Walk In My Garden Cartridge: Images
I received the Cricut machine last year for Christmas. I had been wanting one for the longest time, but the price was pretty steep and decided it was something that I didn't need. So I was surprised when I opened my gift to find that I had gotten one! It came with a basic cartridge, and used that one cartridge for all of the past year. Until I went into Michael's craft store in late August.
They had a sale on the Cricut cartridges and instead of the normal price of around $70-$80 for one, they were marked down to just $50! I could only afford to get one, so I had to make my selection based on one that I would get the most use out of. I narrowed it down between an animal based cartridge, and the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge.
I chose this particular one because it had many "summer" type things in it. I do scrap-booking on a daily basis and decided it would have the most accent options to add to my pages. There were flowers, and insects, and garden type things. A little bit of everything! I have made many pages with my new cartridge, and especially like the bees and caterpillar's. They are so cute! In all this includes 44 different garden themed shapes. You can cut them out in different sizes from 1-5. You can also mix and match different things, such as stems and flowers. They also are great for card making and posters etc. There are 12 words and phrases such as, "Be Happy" and "friends, Smile, and Love" etc. There is also a "To and From" for making tags!
I can't really say this is better then another cartridge, because it's all in personal taste and what you like to scrap. For me this was the best choice for my $50. I do think that all the Cricut products are still very expensive, but they do add some creativity to your layouts. I would love to get more of these, so maybe will ask Santa for them again this year.
