When shopping for a pistol holster there's a lot of options out there depending on how you need to carry and what style you prefer. The two most common styles sold to most civilians are outside waistband (OWB) and inside waistband (IWB). For range carry, hunting, or carrying on my own property, my Fobus Paddle Holster is a decent OWB holster at a budget price. However if you're an off-duty Law Enforcement Officer or a citizen with a concealed pistol license, you don't want your pistol carried in plain sight. That's where the Crossbreed Supertuck comes into play.
Crossbreed Holsters has been building quality products for secure pistol concealment for 5 years now and has developed quite a few devoted customers. Their flagship holster is the Supertuck, a combination of leather backing (cowhide or horsehide) and Kydex retention sleeve. When ordering your Supertuck you have several options including right or left hand draw, the full leather backing (wider area for better comfort) or combat cut (cut out area around grip for better grasp and quicker draw), cowhide in black or horsehide (+$15) which is only available in a natural leather color and is better at resisting sweat and humidity. The last option to consider is the standard belt clips or upgraded steel clips, V-clips, or J-hooks, these are all different ways to secure your Supertuck depending on how you want to carry.
----- How's it work? ------
So why do you need a tuckable holster anyway? The advantage of the Supertuck (or any tuckable holster such as the Comp-Tac M-TAC) is you can slip on your undershirt or t-shirt (recommended to keep something between leather and your skin to prevent chafing), clip your holster over your belt, then tuck your overshirt between your holster and belt leaving your holster out of sight and sandwiched in between undershirt and your cover garment. Because of my line of work I'm frequently working after hours (9:00 to 2:00 am) out of the back doors of restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and other closed businesses. I've had several unpleasant and nearly physical interactions with unsavory characters in "bad" parts of town in years past, this encouraged me to get my CPL license and find a product that would give me comfortable all-day utility. After finding almost unanimously positive feedback from all Crossbreed customers I went ahead and ordered one. Much to my surprise, I received my holster in 10 days, much faster than I expected! My employer requires me to wear a uniform type outfit every day and my Crossbreed Supertuck allows me to carry means of self defense without visibly showing it. My Supertuck comfortably carries my full-size Springfield XD 9mm Service all day without discomfort or a noticeable bulge at the waistline. All that's noticeable if you blouse your shirt out a bit are the two belt clips which could be a cell-phone clip or tool holder. Honestly most people have very little situational awareness and won't even notice if your grip prints or your shirt is too tight.
The Supertuck offers excellent passive weapon retention (only thing better is a thumb-break style retention strap) and I've never had my XD "pop" out even when lying on the floor to work on something, crawling around, or bending over and getting up time after time. The Supertuck completely covers the trigger guard area and allows you to safely and smoothly draw with your finger in "ready" position along the slide and provides a natural transition to drop into the trigger area. All Supertucks have full length sight channels built into the Kydex, this provides a snag free draw and holster motion even with aftermarket sights. I have TruGlo TFO fiber optics on my XD, they have never snagged or gotten caught in the holster which is very important. The Kydex portion is formed perfectly to my XD and all its bulges and contours, it fits like a glove and feels like a factory holster.
Another awesome feature is the Supertuck is totally adjustable for cant and ride, something not available on all holsters. It comes from Crossbreed set for a neutral cant and a high-riding position. The leather is punched with three different holes for each belt clip which allows you to remove and reinstall the clips wherever you want them. I dropped the front clip two positions and the back clip one position, this lets my XD ride lower on my waist with the grip tilted forward (canted up slightly) which makes it easier to draw and conceal.
Does the Supertuck look cool and sexy? Not exactly, there's much prettier holsters (mostly OWB carry) with hand tooled leather and fine details, however it looks like it's all business and that's what matters to me. I've worn mine every day for several months now and the leather was buttery smooth after 2-3 weeks. It's formed perfectly to my hip and I forget it's even there most of the time... and that's what a good holster should do!

I've worn the daylights out of my holster by crouching, lying, rolling and bending into every imaginable position to work on large pieces of equipment. My Supertuck has remained comfortable in almost all situations and more importantly hasn't slid off my belt or squirted my XD out into plain view.
A quick note, any tuckable holster will require your pants to be at least 1 to 2 sizes larger depending on your handgun and holster size. I usually am a 33 or 34 waist, since the Supertuck I've had to go to a 36 waist. The other important factor is a good, stiff belt to keep your Supertuck in place. Crossbreed sells excellent belts that are good looking, stiff, and durable, however any quality 1.5" belt will do.
As of right now the basic Supertuck prices out at just under $70 and even with options will usually stay under $100. They are available for many semi-auto pistols and revolvers, if in doubt there's and email contact on the website for your questions. For a quality product that will withstand daily wear this is totally worth it to me. The owner of Crossbreed holsters (Mark) is known for backing his products even for simple things like broken belt clips and cracked Kydex. I'll close with Mark's customer service statement; he says it better than I could.
"Try one for two weeks and if it is not all I say it is, send it back for a no questions asked refund of the purchase price! If your holster should EVER fail during normal use, simply return it and I will repair or replace it!"
