| bat078's Full Review: Maxxsonics Powerzone P4125 Car Amp |
I have had the crunch p4125 amp for a little over a month now and am very happy with it. I picked it up on U-BID for only $76 and think I got a great bargain. it realistically probably only puts out about 90 watts a channel but that is plenty for front and rear fill. the sound quality to my ears is just fine and the amp so far has given me no problems. it does get quite warm when driven at high volumes for extended periods but never has shut down. I also experienced slight alternator noise at very low volume but could be attributed to other sources.I have it driving 4 speakers 2 polk 5 1/4" and 2 6x9" pioneers itself being driven by a pioneer head unit. it has the adjustable crossovers for each channel as well as high/low/flat switches and seperate bass and treble boost adjustments. I use these to set my front speakers to high freqencies and low freqencies to the back. I have not tried to bridge the amp or run it with a subwoofer but it is supposed the be able to handle it ok. it also has 2 rca outputs if you want to run a separate sub amp from it. contrary to the details it DOES have speaker level inputs.the controls except for the switches are kind of hard to adjust unless you have a very small flat head driver.time will tell how well it will hold up in the coming hot summer months but for now it's a crankin!!!!
