Ah....Good old Ipod Headphones!

Written: Nov 14 '07
Pros:Sound Quality, Looks, Compatibility, Consistency
Cons:None as of now.
The Bottom Line: These headphones are great for anyone who wants a nice pair of speakers for an even nicer price.

Introduction

I was using an Ipod Nano for a looong time before i bought my current Zune During that time, i had grown very fond of the Ipod earphones. I knew the perfect way to put them in, the perfect position to turn them, and just about everything else about them. When I got my Zune, I realized that I would need those old earphones back (I had sold my nano. So i decided to buy another pair. Here's why I like their headphones.

Appearance

Yes, I am that picky ;). I like my headphones to look halfway decent, and not to look like ive got some antenna sticking out of my ear. Luckily, these fit those "Strict" guidelines. They look very sleek and slender and are completely white. These things aren't necessarily a fashion statement, but aren't a humiliation either.

Sound Quality

Ah, here comes the biggie. Sound quality is a must when it comes to choosing headphones. I want my music to sound like it is being played right in front of me, not like it has been recorded four times. The Ipod's headphones more then exceed these standards, which is the main reason I purchased another pair. I have grown so accustomed to the great quality of these headphones. Even when the Zune headphones arrived I knew something was missing in the sound. So clear, clean, and crisp. Trust me, these headphones won't let you down.

Compatibility

I was a tad concerned as to whether the Ipod's headphones would have an issue working for with my Zune. After all, Microsoft and Apple aren't the friendliest competitors out there. Lucky for me, they worked fine, and have worked with every other MP3 player I've used them on. Compatibility is definitely a plus.

Ease of use

Well, this pretty much goes without saying. These are fairly easy to use ;). Just adjust the clip on them (which determines how far the two ear buds will separate from each other), then put them in your ears, and Wa-La. You're listening to your favorite song in the blink of an eye.

Consistency

As of now, these headphones haven't given up on me at all yet. I listen to my music fairly loud, and haven't even heard a crackle in the sound. It'll take a lot more (ab)use to blow these speakers. These things are perfect for the style that I listen to music at. A

Price

Of course, if you got these with your Ipod, then they were free. However, if you were like me and needed to purchase them separately, these headphones are never more then 10$ on Amazon or Ebay. Definitely a steal. These are definitely some of the cheapest, best sounding headphones out there.

Overall

These headphones are great for anyone who wants some great sounding music, but doesn't want to fork up the money for a pair of Bose speakers. These look good, play good, and are all around great performers. These things definitely exceed my expectations. 5 Stars.
