gourmetcook4u's Full Review: Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Coffee Maker
I just bought mine for $49.99 at Costco I had a great little Braun for 9 years and it made a good cup of coffee but it finally burnt out and being the coffee hound I am I went online and did some research. Well the Brew Central poped up on here and on consumers report as well as a Braun. Well you can't find a Braun anymore and the one rated has been discontinued. So I was shopping in Costco today and low and behold they had the Brew Central on their shelf at $49.99 so I jumped on it. I had looked at them in Macy's last weekend and they were on sale for $79.99 so I think I got a great deal. Tonight I was craving a cafe con leche(cuban cofee with steamed milk) so I unpacked my new Cuisinart and was really impressed by it's sturdy construction. I ground some beans and thought I'd try the 1-4 cup setting since it's late. Wow! What a great steaming cup of Joe this machine makes. The coffee is nice and hot, fully brewed and really smooth. I use Brita filtered water but the charcoal filter is a nice option for those that don't have access to good water. This is definately a good coffee maker and thanks to Costco looks like I got it for $10.00 cheaper then E-Bay. I'm glad to see these reviews online it really helps consumers that are making a choice. I didn't even know Cuisinart made coffee makers and I'm a true foodie but I'm glad I know now.
