Pros: A nice looking unit. Interior light is an option for display purposes.
Cons: Recirc fan noisy. Needs ambient temp of 70*F to be efficient to operate.
Not impressed. And yes, the recirc fan noise is too loud. And it seems to run about all the time (even on a middle temp setting... in my case #5). There are 8 different temperatures for the different wines, but if you have a power interuption, it reverts to the coldest setting ( #1). Since it it too loud to be used in my quiet kitchen, it will be banished to the basement where it will be harder to monitor the 'set temperature' (we get power interuptions about every third day). And it will be a pain to go down there each time I need to get a bottle of chilled wine.
BTW... the manual (no mention of this fact in the ad by ECOST.com) says it should be run at ambient temp of 70*F or less. These days who runs the A.C. at 70*F? Also it has to be vented on all sides by 3 inches and should not be put in an enclosure. I called tech help and they tell me it 'only' uses about the same electricity as a 100 watt light bulb. That's up to 2.4 kilowats per day which times my low local rate is around 26 cents a day...That is about $8 per month! Not very efficient or economical. My 26 ft Samsung only uses about $5 per month
